Today, my husband received the "antique" samurai sword that he bought on Craigslist with $399.99 of our money. He only shared my outrage at the waste of money when he opened the package, only to find a toy sword along with a note saying, "HAHA, TROLLED." FML

Try to sue him for false advertising.

He should have been suspicious since it was so cheap, you won't get a real, new sword for that price, so an antique would probably be reeeally expensive..

actually you can get a really great sword for that kind of money. I have three really great and Well made one that each costed a little less than that.

Darksword Armory. They make durable, historically accurate swords, some of which are $315, unsharpened and without an interlaced belt with the scabbard, but it's still pretty cheap for the quality. The ARMA uses their swords if I recall correctly.

Put a claim in to get the _$ back. You just have to quickly make the claim.

this is Craigslist not eBay. unless he payed with PayPal then there is no one to file a claim to

I wouldn't trust almost anything on Craigslist, a lot of serial killers frequent the personals there.

Rules of Craigslist: 1) Everything is fake 2) Everyone lies 3) When in doubt, see #1 and 2

By saying everyone lies you have yet again made me think you are the real life version of Dr. House.

I don't think Doc likes being compared to House, Nordrag.

Don't worry about it. It was just an observation from an FML a while ago.

He said he sees himself more like Dr Cox from Scrubs, not that he doesn't like being compared to Dr House

I think it was less his personality than someone suggesting his doctoral style and practices might be similar.

TheDrifter: That's probably what I was thinking of. I have a terrible memory as of late, so I confused the two. My apologies.

I hear he is gay? But that's okay cause there is nothing wrong with that.

This is why you go to their house and look at the thing before you hand over the cash

Wait, someone shipped you something posted on Craiglist? I've never heard of this, only meeting the people to trade. Maybe OP could provide some insight?

TheDrifter 23

OP is an idiot and ignored the "meet the seller in person" rule, thus getting scammed and forfeiting his cash. You should never have craigslist items shipped, in person transactions only.

*Op's husband is an idiot.

I've always wanted a free picture of an FML shirt.

I would never let him live it down. let this be a reminder, the next time he wants to make another reckless purchase.

I believe if you have the shipping address you can sue him for your money back. I think..I don't know.

That depends is the shipping address is real or not .
