Today, my unemployed boyfriend and I went to the casino. I gave him twenty dollars to play on. He won $1000 on a dollar machine then jackpotted the ten dollar machine for $20,000. When we got home he broke up with me. I have been working two jobs to get our own place. Move in Date?? 2 weeks. FML

Today, I went to the casino and put $500 into a game and lost it all. I tried another $100 and won it all back, plus some. Instead of walking out ahead, I kept trying to hit bigger and ended up losing all my rent money. Rent is due and now I can’t pay it. FML

Today, I told my unemployed boyfriend to pick a town anywhere in the country that he thinks he can find work in. I offered to find myself a job there, find a flat, and pay for rent, bills, and food while he looks. He said I was selfish for wanting him to hurry up. It's been three years. FML

exactly. $20,000 is enough to live on for a year if you're careful, but if he's the kind of guy to break up with someone after coming into money, he doesn't sound like the responsible type. he's going to blow it all on stupid shit trying to convince some braindead supermodel to sleep with him, and come crawling back when he's broke again. and then you can laugh and slam the door in his face.

Good riddance to him. In a 2 weeks you'll have your own place, jobs and money. And he'll learn pretty soon that 20 000 isn't that much if you have to support yourself.
