Today, my boyfriend and I tried to have sex for the first time. Everything was going well, until he tried to put it in. A few minutes later, he said, "It's not hard enough." We tried for another half hour to fix that. We ended up eating ice cream. FML

Don't let an unsuccessful attempt bother you. Spend more time on preliminaries and handwork. Help him make you come once with his hands so that you are more than ready for him next time. Bonus, seeing you come will make him rock hard.

My guess is that your boyfriend didn't feel relaxed enough to become truely hard, and trying for half an hour will only have made him more stressed. He's not the only guy who has problems with getting it up, be aware of that. The only advice I can give is: much foreplay. If you both feel comfortable and relaxed and in the mood, it should work. Just don't focus too hard (hehe) on it - I know that's difficult, but how more pressure comes on sex, how more difficult (and less pleasant) it will be. Also: *******.

i wonder why people clicked on ydi! i dont understand how she deserves it! that might happen to anybody when they have sex for the first time. there are so many expactations involved on both sides! morover, op's boyfriend was even more stressed out because of his situation. trying for half an hour must have crashed his self esteem even worse! that was really good thinking on their part to relax things up and settle for ice cream instead! try being less nervous next time. good luck op :)
