You get paid, by your employer to serve me when I eat in a restaurant. If you're rude, zero tip. To get a tip from me, you have to be nice, happy, excited to be serving me. If I were you, I wouldn't have tipped more than a dollar. I work hard for my money, and spend it on the people I love, not on a rude waiter/waitress who doesn't want to be serving me
I can't believe she asked you that. That must've been really awkward. That's why I hate using card rather pay but cash.
I fail to see how waitresses making $100 a day only make minimum wage. My friend averaged $15/hour and she didn't even reach $100 a day. Next time just cross it out again and write 0. I hate those waitress bitches that make $20/hour one day then expect it every day.
It's kind of cheap to remove only a dollar from the tip. I could understand worrying about "tipping too much" if you accidentally misplaced a decimal or something and over-tipped by $10.00 or something. To those assaulting #3 about not tipping unless he/she is made to "feel special" I agree. #3 sucks at life. Usually, however, people like #3 just say stupid stuff like "I don't tip" to look like a badass of some sort because they feel inferior in their own lives somehow. Also, they do it as "trolling" to gain negative attention. My guess is #3 wets the bed, has a small penis, and has never had a girlfriend.
The woman who called you out is a bitch, you should have crossed it out again and put a 0 there.

What does it matter if she saw you do it or not? She would have seen it crossed out in a little bit anyway. It's a weird thing that you would bother to cross it out and lower it by only a dollar, seeing as how a dollar is relatively insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but it's just weird as opposed to horrible. Plus, it was only take out, people don't normally tip on take out at all so if I were her, I'd feel grateful to have even gotten a couple dollars.
I think what he means is that he wants the waiter to make the night good by providing good service and that they should have to work for a big tip and not just expect it
