#114, i work at a pizza place and i'm sometimes in charge of the carry out orders. i don't always EXPECT a tip, but it's nice to get one because my job involves: a) doing cashier work b) checking on your pizza, letting you know how much longer, etc c) getting you your drinks, salads, whatever else you ordered that wasn't pizza and d) sometimes helping you carry it to your car. and our pizza delivery charge is only $1.50 per delivery... not that big of a difference.
What the ****. It's TAKE OUT. Why should you have to tip someone for handing you food? Thats like tipping someone at McDonalds.
It's a buck, dude. That's 1/8 of the minimum wage in California. You bastard.
Depending on the type of take-out place and how large the order is, I sometimes tip a coupla bucks because you still call in to make a special request. Although when that chick DID open her mouth, you should've told her to relearn her ****** etiquette.
if you put a dollar over than what you wanted you should just leave it.
you ordered ******* TAKE-OUT!.. Bitch shouldn't be saying shit about the tip.. **** her. You should be glad that you aren't going out with her. Bitch.

What does it matter if she saw you do it or not? She would have seen it crossed out in a little bit anyway. It's a weird thing that you would bother to cross it out and lower it by only a dollar, seeing as how a dollar is relatively insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but it's just weird as opposed to horrible. Plus, it was only take out, people don't normally tip on take out at all so if I were her, I'd feel grateful to have even gotten a couple dollars.
I think what he means is that he wants the waiter to make the night good by providing good service and that they should have to work for a big tip and not just expect it
