Bad way for him to go about your excess fat/weight but maybe take his words into consideration. You may have put on some weight around your waist, arms, etc since you got together. Nothing wrong with keeping a nice fit figure.

If he's telling you to lose weight , just do the stomach area, that's somewhere where everybody can lose weight from. Or tone your body instead of losing it. :)
