OMG, it seriously seems like half the people on here do not know that you are not supposed to wash the vaginal area with any soap at all. You're supposed to use only water, because soap can destroy natural flora of the ****** and destroys the good bacteria in the ****** and helps the bad ones, for example it leads to yeast infections...same goes for douching! If the fishy smell is really strong, it can be because there's too many Gardnerella and Mobiluncus bacteria present in your ******...however this is technically NOT AN INFECTION and has nothing to do with how often you wash yourself down there! Those kind of bacteria are NATURALLY present and sometimes they just happen to 'overpopulate' causing this strong smell...it can easily be taken care of Since the OPs boyfriend said it in a seductive tone though I would say it's safe to say that he just referred to her natural healthy smell down there which is different in every women, and by referring to it as 'fishy' he was trying to be funny
