Wow, there is absolutely no excuse for that. I can somewhat understand it if she suddenly just started her period and didn't want to stain her seats, but at least go behind a bush or something. However, you said she was changing it, and threw the old one out the window. So she was too lazy and unclassy to wait until she got to a rest stop to take care of that. Absolutely disgusting. FYL OP.
What a classless pig she is.
I get that sometimes you hit an emergency where you'd have to change your tampon (I have had to do this before, but at least I keep a blanket, tissues, and plastic bags in my car, so even if anyone realized what I was doing, they couldn't SEE it - it would have been two hours before I got to a rest stop, and nothing on either side of the road but grass). But throwing it out the window? Really, really unacceptable. Who doesn't keep a garbage bag in their car? Or at least some tissues?
Honesty, I don't keep any sort of trash in my car. And I certainly would not keep a used tampon and put it on any surface in my car. That would defeat the purpose of changing the tampon in the car to prevent staining the seats. And most tampons are biodegradable. It's not like people are out walking around on highways so it's really not that unhygienic. OP just happened to look over and see it. Seriously, everyone is completely over reacting to this FML. I see much grosser things on a daily basis.
That's why you put the used one in a plastic bag, not take it out and put it on the dashboard. What that woman did was really quite disgusting and depending on if she actually threw it or just dropped it out the window, it may have hit someone elses car. I wouldn't want to be cleaning that shit off.
@#116 - It's true, some drivers prefer to avoid having a trash bag in their car and only carry tissues if they are sick. That doesn't change the facts: 1. She changed her tampon in full view of anyone around her; OP was a adult trucker but he could just as easily have been children inside an SUV. 2. She tossed her used tampon out the window! Most people hate seeing dirty diapers or used condoms along roads, so why is a used tampon any more acceptable? 3. It doesn't matter if most tampons are biodegradable; it won't disappear immediately. A child looking out his/her car window could see it. It's disgusting and if it lands on the asphalt highway or shoulders, it will not degrade as quickly as it would normally. Plus, many tampons are not biodegradable.
People have no mor morals !
That's just ridiculous. Unsanitary. Outright disgusting. I'm sorry, OP.

At least it wasn't in her mouth.
How are some people so unhygienic? I just don't understand!
