Every time a woman finally undresses, that's my reaction, well I keep that to myself, because, all of that packaging people wear.... When You finally unpack it.... Expectations are way over Your head as a man. Still I'm more than happy to see them naked. :)

I agree. Chicks nowadays are false advertisting by wearing pushup bras and waist trainers. When u take all that off then you see the real them. Unbelievable. I'm sorry he said that, OP. It's possible he meant it as a joke or even a compliment, but if he was purposefully being mean spirited, you might want to consider leaving him. If you do stay with him, you should talk to him about it so he doesn't say something rude again.

Above all, don't let him make you feel bad about yourself! I know how easy it is to succumb to feeling unworthy because of a comment like this. But honestly if he can't appreciate you and make you feel special in such an intimate moment, he's the one who has the problem, not you. I wouldn't blame you for choosing to break things off with him, but if you do decide to forgive him, be sure to hold your ground and make sure he understands why what he said was wrong and hurt your feelings.

I find it amusing that everyone assumes the boyfriend was trying to be insulting. Nowhere does it say that the boyfriend doesn't appreciate a little chubbiness, he may have meant that it was good that she was chubbier than expected. Naturally everyone (including OP) jumps to the worst conclusion and reviles the boyfriend for daring to mention anything associated with a woman's weight. He was probably stunned by her beauty and and said the first thing that came to mind without thinking.

If he was stunned by her beauty, he would have said something like "you're so beautiful", not "you're chubby". That's not a way to tell someone they look beautiful.

I actually agree with you. I don't agree with people who say that a man can not say anything bad about a woman's body, because many of those people are saying he has a small penis. Double standard much? If people think a man automatically is stunned when he sees a woman without clothes, they might be basing expectations off of movies. So what if her boyfriend thinks she's chubby? He never said she was too chubby for him and he never said it was a bad thing. For all we know that could make her more attractive to him. I guarantee that if the boyfriend said that that she's more skinny than he thought, this wouldn't be an FML. It's ironic how many people say that there nothing wrong with being chubby or fat, but yet when they see a post like this, they crucify a man for just saying someone is chubby, meanwhile he didn't even say anything truly bad! He just acknowledged she was chubby. Big deal.
