I've never seen bathroom attendants hold other peoples things...did they ask you to give them your things or what?
lol well played random person..well played
I think you should of known by how he/she dressed that he/she was not a attendant...
it IS possible that the woman was dressed in a way that made OP think she worked there. Maybe she even scammed several guests, or was planning on doing so. I guess I just hope that OP used some form of logic there. Maybe Thief was embarrassed that OP thought she worked there and decided to get her back by keeping the stuff.
The rule of thumb is to never give anything of value to a complete stranger, even if they were genuine staff at the hotel. Anyone could be tempted to steal. Sorry for your loss, but YDI.
I've stayed in-- a lot of hotels and never had to asked because it should be easy to tell who works there or not. Then again, I would never hand over my valuable to a complete stranger even if they did work there. :P except maybe the bellboys but I've always followed them with my luggage closely. (:

Even if they did have one...why give your things to anyone? YDI just take it with you and hang them on the hook on the bathroom door.
I never trust that, maybe I don't trust people in general but I'm not okay with the idea of handing my expensive things to a stranger and assuming they'll give them back.
